Sale and Approval Terms
Instruments can be sent out to customers for an approval period of five days. This will allow a player to make sure that the instrument is a good match in tone and playability. This arrangement is made under the following conditions:
Instruments can be shipped via Federal Express or UPS ground or air services. The method is at the discretion of the customer.
The customer pays all shipping, packaging, and insurance charges. All instruments are shipped for Daniel Larson by The Mail Room. All shipping queries can be made to them at: 218-728-2340.
Payments by check:
The customer can send two checks: one for the total amount of the instrument and the other for the shipping, either a personal check or cashier's check. The shipping check will be deposited right away to cover the cost of the shipping. The check for the instrument total will be held for a period of five days, afterwhich the instrument must be returned, or this check will also be deposited.
Payments by credit card:
The charge for the shipping will be made immediately. The credit card will be authorized for the value of the instrument. If the instrument is accepted by the customer the charge will be made to the credit card. If the instrument is returned, the authorization will be allowed to lapse without action after the instrument is returned to Daniel Larson and is verified to be returned in perfect condition. A 4.50% processing fee will be made to all credit card payments for instrument and shipping transactions.
The customer has five days, including the day of arrival, to assess the instrument. If the instrument is acceptable, confirmation must be given to Daniel Larson within the five days of receipt of the instrument. If the instrument is unacceptable, the instrument must be sent back to Daniel Larson within five days of receiving the instrument.
If the instrument is returned, it must be sent back by the fifth day after receipt of the instrument. The customer will pay all shipping and insurance charges for the return. Verification of the return can be made with a tracking number. When the instrument is returned it will be checked over for condition. The instrument must be returned in perfect condition. If there is any damage on the instrument the sale transaction will be completed and the instrument will be returned to the customer when the customer pays for the shipping.
When the instrument is received back and verified in good condition, the instrument-value check will be returned to the customer. The check will be mailed to the customer within twenty four hours of receipt of the instrument at the Larson workshop.

Shipping damage:
If the instrument is damaged in shipping, the sale transaction will be completed and you will own the instrument. The responsibility for making the insurance claim to the shipper must be made by the customer. The damaged instrument is usually returned to the shipper without charge by the shipping company. These are details to be worked out between the customer and the shipping agent. Instruments can be returned to Daniel Larson for repair, but the repair is not started until all claims have been verified and approved by the shipper. Repairs take at up to six weeks to complete, depending on the damage.
